My website was designed as a tribute and reflection to the young lady Claire Wineland who recently passed away in early September of 2018. I chose this project because at the time in early 2018, I was so invested in the topic. I had been a follower of Claire for almost a year and I never had the extra time or opportunity to create a project. This project means a lot more than just a website. To me, I found Claire's story healing. It brought transparency and bliss. I think her story can influence lives. What started the idea of this website had to be her passing. Around September, the assignment was distributed to my class. With her passing being so fresh and instilled in my head, the idea constantly was on my mind.

 

The project overall was a little tedious. I was really good at coming up with ideas about my clear vision but it was hard to paste it into words of my own. I remember creating my first ever blog on this site and it immediately occurred that I needed more than just my personal preference. Instead, I reached out to many people to get involved in my project such as patients with CF (Cystic Fibrosis), colleagues, teachers etc. I felt like the more I applied to my own work, it was automatically adaptable for me. The general idea is to spread awareness about Cystic Fibrosis and it was very easy for me because the topic was so interesting to me. Consider this example. I got the privilege to speak with a teacher from my local school with CF and I was ecstatic and humbled. Thirty minutes with her was life changing and gives a different perspective on life.

I want to keep this website up after my project. I think this website can be very helpful and healing to anyone who needs to know about Claire Wineland. Towards the end of the school year, I did not accomplish all I wanted done. I don't think I'd ever be able to finish. This project will forever remain an unfinished product but I am very proud of my work. I would like to keep my website alive by promoting it as much as I can. I hope that beyond the assignment, that I will be able to help at least one person.  As you finish exploring my website. Think to yourself. How do you feel and what did you take away from this.
