Claire's massive stroke had spread shock waves all across the globe. Her impact on people was immense. Here were the few that I noticed that were moved be Claire...

Shane Dawson:

Shane Dawson is a very famous you-tuber who makes annual videos for his viewers. Shane's first encounter with Claire was at 3am. He searched through YouTube vigorously and searched "Death". For Shane, it is a very sensitive topic (which i'm sure is the case for many people). He found the video"Dying 101". Through Shane's description, he was lost in the video. The effect drove him to watching all her video's and helped him cope with the topic he faces. Ever since, he's wanted to collaborate with Claire. So, she appears on Shane's Podcast named "Shane and Friends - Aly and AJ And Claire Wineland". He quotes "You are literally incredible... I love you so much" and eventually, a friendship was made. Her death had devastated Shane and encouraged everyone to understand her vision that Shane experienced with her.

Casey Neistat:

Casey Neistat was a fellow friend and supporting advocate for many of Claire's campaigns. He would support her and her decisions and their friendship became unbreakable. When she passed, he made a twitter post and quotes "She was truly one of the greats..." The link to his social media can be found here

Bernie Sanders:

This story never ceases to amaze me...

Claire had received a text message from her friend to tell her that Bernie Sanders was in Los Angeles for a rally. She was very into politics. Ironically, she was hospitalized at the time. She didn't let hospitalization get to her. Instead, she unhooked her IV''s, payed an Uber to go see Bernie in hopes that her nurses wouldn't notice her gone. The story was so moving that Claire was placed behind the scenes to meet Bernie Sanders. She said "That was incredibly exciting and now I can say that I have met two of my old white men idols." Her courageous act sweetened Bernie's heart and was devastated of the news. You can find Bernie's tweet here

Lastly, Haley Lu Richardson:

Haley Richardson, played as Stella in the film "Five Feet Apart". Before doing her research on CF, the executive producer Justin Baldoni made contact with wineland.

She said " “She was such a wise human being... I did a lot of research and we had a CF nurse on set every day to get the medical stuff as accurate as possible. But, the most important thing was getting to spend time with Claire. She really taught me the emotional effect of CF on the child and the family.”

Richardson tried to embody how Claire would have been feeling all throughout the film. You could say that the character Stella embodied wineland and her amazing character. From what I could gather from the trailer, I can really see the pain and dwelling that Stella has. Richardson did a amazing job showing the audience that people with such a disease need to recognize that they must truly size each moment and really live. Here is the trailer to the film. "Five Feet Apart" that airs on March 15, 2019.

Recognize any of the artists/people above?

I was amazed at all the connections Claire made throughout her lifetime. She changed peoples perspectives, hearts and minds. To this day, the conversations are being raised. How would you raise your voice?
