This following contains material from Soul Pancake that describes Claire's life and her story:

It's really hard to not be emotional when you hear this wonderful girls story. When I created this website, it became more than just a project for me, it became a work of art that I am proud to call my own. After watching this film about Claire, it answered all my questions and gave me clarity as to why I chose this assignment. She embodies a sense of hope and joy that I can not possibly express. What makes her so special is you don't just embody what she stands for but you seem to fall in love with everything about her. You feel the tension and love she had with her family and her connections with people. There's a strong connection with everything she stood for and attempt to experience that for yourself. As a writer, I became emotionally connected to her. She inspired me to do so much and it really makes you realize the amount of pain she was through. The battle is never ending. The experience with the video was extremely transparent. It really captured the perception of how so many values are taken for granted as an average human being. For me, it's very brave to see a young girl like herself battle such a courageous enemy which so happened to be death in her case. So many emotions take place in the film.

In her teenage years, she became very acquainted with her daily routines. The film shows how she discusses what is going into her body and the changes that must happen. She quotes. "I have to know everything that's going on with my body and what's going into it and how to take care of it and whose doing what to it. Like, it's the only way that I can be okay with this life is if i'm in control of what's going on to my body." So much has happened from the ages of 13 to 18. She's been in a coma and almost died. Defied the 1% chance of surviving, started a foundation and received millions of supporters."I've had such a weirdly cool five years..." she said.

Here is an excerpt from Claire on pain.

"Most 18 year old's do not have to deal with what I have to deal with specifically. No. But everyone has to deal with their own pain. The absolute truth is that I don't think the pain that I've been through is any more severe than the pain that any other individual has been through. It might be more physical, but I also have had the incredible gift of having people in my life who genuinely love me. That's given me so much mental stability and strength. We have to realize that we are apart of something bigger. What happens in the world, what happens in our society, very literally, a part of us because we are so influenced by it and it is so influenced by us and yet we love to live in a bubble and we love to pretend like things that happen to use are individual and choices we make are individual... were separate from the whole. So we can't put ourselves in a bubble and we can't detach from the world that we live in."

Eventually, the idea of public speaking arose. Claire has always loved an audience. As a child, she would constantly record herself in front of a camera. She always thought about becoming a public speaker but didn't understand the structure and didn't have guidance. Justin Baldoni (The director of My Last Days" surprised Claire with one of the most life changing gifts ever. Claire met Richard Greene. Richard green is a world renown figure which he specializes in public speaking. He believed that Claire had a gift and insisted that he'd teach her how to speak in front of a crowd.

Here is a short clip of Greene's work about public speaking.

"The true definition of public speaking is nothing more, than having a conversation from your heart about something that you are authentically passionate about."

~Richard Greene

Ever since their gathering, Claire has been able to speak for many public events. One named "Life is beautiful" became her first public speaking platform.

Life is Beautiful was one of the many public platforms she had. She continued to uplift us, inspire us. Ask yourself, if you were in your position, how would you combat the situation? Today, I want YOU to hug your loved ones. Things can be taken so unexpectedly.
